CAMEROON TO HOST THE AFCON 2019

For some time now, there were only speculations that Cameroon could be the host of the African Cup Of Nations in 2019. This was since the FIFA president, Sepp Blatter was seen visiting the country earlier this year to observe and supervise the various facilities put in place by the Cameroon Football Federation in their contest to host this competition.

The Cameroonian Football Federation, FECAFOOT has been working hard together with the government to put in place everything that will be needed to host such an event. New stadia are being constructed such as the Limbe and Bafoussam football stadia and more are still to come.

Cameroon is one of the biggest footbal nations on the African continent and has been cup winners 4 times but has only hosted the competition once and that was way back in the seventies.

The decision for the country to host the 2019 AFCON came in this afternoon from Adis Abbeba.

SAMEUL ETO'O POSSIBLE TRANSFER TO WEST HAM

Samuel Eto'o is no more with Chelsea FC and at this moment stands without a club. However there has been rumours about his transfer to other clubs. His season at Chelsea came to a sour end with team manager, Jose Mourinho's controversy over the striker's age.

It was said that AS Roma wanted the Cameroonian international and the deal never worked out as the club could not meet to Eto'o's demands. Again headlines were made relating to Arsenal and Everton wanting the striker. Queens Park Rangers were also in demand of Eto'o in a bit to strengthen their come back to the Premier League. This was seen as Claudio Vigorelli, the striker's agent held talks with the club's manager, harry Redknapp. However the talks seem to have been of light weight as the striker's wage demands were ''over rated''.

Most recent of all is Eto'o's transfer talks with West Ham's boss, Sam Allardyce. His representatives held talks yesterday concerning his possible move to West Ham alongside Peter Crouch in a bit to solidify the club's attack line as it was handicapped by Andy Caroll's persistent season injury. Eto'o demands £100,000 as weekly wage, an amount which may not be considered by the club.
