CAMEROON ELIMINATED FROM THE WORLD CUP

 

After Australia and Spain, Cameroon joined the camp eliminated from World Cup 2014. While they absolutely had to win to keep chances of qualifying, the Indomitable Lions were dominated sharply by Croatia with a score of 4 - 0 for their second match of Group A.

While their star striker Samuel Eto'o with a knee injury, was installed on the bench, Cameroonians quickly lost control of the meeting. Croats opened the scoring in the 11th minute thanks to Ivica Olic who deceived the keeper left. Five minutes from the end of the first half, the situation has worsened for African team after the expulsion of Alexandre Song. Slightly blocked by Mario Mandzukic on a Cameroonian counter attack, FC Barcelona player sent him a blow in the back, immediately punished by the referee.


During the second half, the game quickly became one-sided. Croats have up attacks. Ivan Perisic doubled the scoring in the 48th minute a cross-shot from the left, while Mandzukic scored twice in the 61st and 73rd minute. Thanks to this success, men Niko Kovac can still access the knockout stages. Their match against Mexico Monday, June 23 will be decisive.


However the defeat, great play was still showed by players such as Moukanjo, Aboubakar, Mbia, Nkoulou and Enoh.

Cameroon still has one compensatory match left against Brazil. The Brazilians will sure do all to win this one as losing it to the Cameroonians could be an invitation to joining then out of the competition together.
